June 2016 Newsletter
May Meeting Recap:
The meeting began after at after 7:10 PM May 20, 2016 at the Indianapolis Crossroads Boy Scout of America Center. Some 20 members were present.
Our Treasurer Ken Kindler briefed our financial status:
One bill from Best Rentals is larger than quoted. It is being worked on to sort out a resolution. One option is to see about getting the tables delivered before 5PM.
Room rent for the meeting site as the rental rates have increased. The small room is $150.00 Month. The large meeting room costs much more.
The topic has been announced of remaining of finding a new location to meet as our rent fee has increased three times.
Possible sites are Mt Comfort Government Bldg, a local VFW Hall, or other sites such as a Future Farmers of America meeting hall or some local near the American Legion Hall downtown. YMCA is a possible site also.
For those few stragglers owing dues, you know who you are.
There was a discussion regarding the Chapter possibly hosting a Regional show in 2018 with Columbus as a possible site.
In Chapter Contest:
Tom Choy has hosted a Matchbox build contest anything out of the box anything goes. Build a Matchbox kit from way back when. June is the alibi meeting for the Matchbox Club Contest.
The P-51 Club Build has received a reprieve and will conclude at the June Meeting. So some of you have more time to finish your Tamiya P-51 and thereby, won't have to pony up ten dollars to the club for the kit.

June is the conclusion of the Tamiya P-51 club contest.
We also need to set event dates and continue planning for 2016.
